It’s a favourite for armchair judges around the country, Eurovision 2017 is looking like a bumper year – and the final is just around the corner.

Leading bookmaker Coral is placing Italy as firm favourites to win a third Eurovision title, priced at just at 4-6, while Sweden and Bulgaria are both priced at 7-1, and Portugal is priced at 10-1.

Coral’s John Hill says, “Although Italy’s Francesco Gabbani looks like a dead cert to win the trophy next Saturday, Sweden have the form, having won the contest six times before.”

But what about the UK? Coral’s John Hill says, “It’s 20 years since Katrina and the Waves took home the trophy – and Lucie Jones is flying the flag at 50-1. But with odds of 14-1 for the UK to score nul points, it seems punters aren’t feeling hopeful.”.

Odds on presenter Graham Norton swearing on air are priced at 3-1, while it’s 20-1 for a streaker to interrupt the show. Coral is offering 2-1 for a nation to stage a political protest, and 16-1 for any act to fall off stage.
