Damien Chazelle’s “La La Land” has equalled the record for most Academy Award nominations with a record 14 nods. Leading bookmaker Coral is quoting odds of 16-1 that the hit movie musical will make history on February 26th by winning 12 or more Academy Awards.

It is a real possibility that the smash-hit production will beat the record 11 Oscars that have been won by Ben Hur, Titanic and Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.

It's 1-7 that “La La Land” wins Best Picture, while Damien Chazelle is also 1-9 to be honoured with Best Director. Emma Stone has been chalked up at 4-5 to win Best Actress, but Ryan Gosling is expected to lose out to Casey Affleck for Best Actor, at odds of 9-1.

“La La Land broke all records earlier at the Golden Globes this month and looks set to dance its way tO to victory at February’s Oscars,” said Coral’s Nicola McGeady.

“11 is the record number of Oscars won by any film and with the musical in the running for so many categories, the money suggests that it could break that record on February 26th,” added McGeady.
