This week, spring has finally sprung as seasonal favourites, British Raspberries
and Jersey Royals grace the shelves of Waitrose branches across the UK.

Waitrose is celebrating the start of the Jersey Royals season with the first new potatoes launching on the 24th March. The Jersey Royal Company, who harvest the early fields by hand using a fork, are celebrating 25 years supplying Waitrose with the sweet, nutty flavour of the famous Jersey Royals which can only be grown on the island of Jersey. The crop is harvested daily, packed fresh that day and shipped to Waitrose stores in the UK overnight; from field to fork in 48 hours.
Waitrose is also celebrating the start of the British raspberry season
with the first punnets launching on Monday 21st March– earlier than
ever before due to a mild autumn and spring. The raspberries are grown in
glasshouses on the South Coast of England by Harry Hall who is a dedicated
grower and has been supplying Waitrose with berries since 1994.
British raspberries will be available Waitrose branches for £3.50 for 150g.
