Lakeland has announced the launch of the latest innovation from Sage by
Heston Blumenthal, The Fast Slow Pro.
It takes a lot for an electrical appliance to stop Lakeland in their tracks, but the Sage range by Heston Blumenthal does just that. The ultimate food thinker is involved throughout the testing and production and the results never fail to impress.
Different foods require cooking at different temperatures and pressures for different amounts of time, meaning it can be difficult to always get it right. Solving this age-old problem, Sage’s Fast Slow Pro is a combination pressure and slow cooker which takes the guesswork out of cooking altogether to ensure tasty, perfectly cooked results every time.
Heston’s exacting requirements and attention to detail combined with the design know-how of Sage’s ‘food geek’ engineers results in the ultimate one-pot cooker. Simple to use, it automatically adjusts time, temperature and pressure between fast and slow cooking for optimized performance, which means there’s no need for you to worry about changing the settings yourself once cooking is underway.
Dual sensors at the top and bottom of the appliance constantly monitor ingredients for more accurate temperature and pressure control, and a hands-free, variable steam release function allows steam to be released safely and automatically as your food cooks so that, whatever you’re cooking, it always stays tender and tastes great.
A fully interactive LCD control panel tells you exactly what’s happening and there’s a pressure-activated locking device to ensure safety when in use. The Fast Slow Pro also comes complete with 6 pre-set smart settings - pressure cooking, slow cooking, searing, sautéing, reducing and steaming, ensuring great results every time.
Commenting on the launch, Heston said, "The Fast Slow Pro takes the
guesswork out of cooking to ensure tasty and delicious results whether you’ve
got all day to cook or no time at all. It’s simple to use and has
an interface that guides the user to the right temperature, pressure and
time for the most common cooking tasks whilst still allowing users to tweak
as desired. As far as I’m concerned, it’s the secret weapon
for making great stock. But the trick to making really delicious stock is
not only in the preparation of the ingredients but also maintaining the
right pressure, for this, the release valve will keep the temperature below
120C in order to keep the pressure down which will not allow the stock to
go cloudy. When I explained this to the product development team at Sage,
we worked together to make sure that this technology was included in the
