Despite the wintery weather, spring has sprung at Waitrose, as sales of British grown Daffodils bloom. Sales of the spring bud are up 27 per cent compared to 2014.
Allison Burdett, Flower Buyer for Waitrose says: ‘Nothing says ‘spring’ better than a Daffodil. Grown in Cornwall by Winchester Growers, the blooms are hand cut by their team and this year they’ve arrived earlier than 2014, due to the fair winter we’ve had.’
British Daffodils are available until April 2015 for £1 a bunch.
